Plum and cinnamon muffins

 I’ve tried this recipe last year and the muffins are amazing! The smell of cinnamon and plums, warm oven and sound of autumn rain falling outside are good reasons to stay in and make these. 


400 g of plums 
300 g of flour
10 g baking powder
2 tsp of cinnamon
100 g of brown sugar
1 egg
250 ml of yogurt
100 ml of vegetable oil
icing sugar for dusting


Wash plums, remove stones and chop them.

Mix flour with baking powder and cinnamon. 
In separate bowl mix egg, sugar, yogurt and vegetable oil. Add dry ingredients and plums.

Prepare muffin tray. Line with paper cups.

Pour the batter in cups.

Preheat oven at 180°C. Bake around 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Do some toothpick test. 

Dust with icing sugar. 

Serve in cupcake cups.

They are great the next morning, still soft and moist. Serve with butter and homemade plum and chocolate jam.
