I guess there is no need to tell you about the chocolate and cherries combination…it’s almost perfect. What makes this kisses perfect is some hazelnut and my famous cherry brandy 🙂
Chocolate and Cherry kisses
cca 30 cherries
homemade cherry brandy or some brandy, rum, liqueur (enough to cover the cherries)
200 g of chocolate for kisses + 150 g for coating
150 g toasted hazelnuts
100 g icing sugar
50 g butter
3 tbsp milk
4 tbsp vegetable oil
If you’ve made my homemade cherry liqueur you can use those cherries, if still not take some fresh cherries, remove pits and soak in the liqueur, brandy or rum for at least an hour or overnight if you want.
Melt chocolate and butter, than add chopped hazelnuts, icing sugar and milk. Mix well. If needed add some more milk.
Make balls, add one cherry inside each one. Leave them in the fridge to cool and harden.
Melt the chocolate, add oil, mix well and dip every ball into it. Leave until chocolate hardens. Than you can decorate with candied cherry or drizzle with melted white chocolate.
